Lake County JATC

The Lake County Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee (JATC) is committed to providing an educated, well-trained workforce through the cooperation of both labor and management.  Our goal is to help workers develop the skills, knowledge, and ability needed to retain highly paid jobs in the electrical construction industry. The Lake County JATC pledges to educate workers through supervised on-the-job training and related classroom instruction. In the apprenticeship, you literally EARN WHILE YOU LEARN. As you advance through your training, you receive regular pay increases. As you develop more complex job skills and improve your knowledge, you are rewarded for your hard work. You also LEARN BY DOING. A qualified journeyperson supervises your on-the-job training.

What's Happening @ Lake County JATC

Over 27 years!!!!

That’s right - over 2½ decades!!!

Everyone knows her as Dee Crutchfield. The Lake County JATC and I recognize her as an ICON, Accountant, web site designer, trade day informant, and multitask manager, these are just a few of her everyday tasks.

Dee has been a crucial part of the JATC. She has had to go through three training Directors: Bill Yukna, Dennis Malec, and (myself) Bryan Sorensen. Through all of these changes, she has persevered and kept the integrity of the JATC at the highest level. Her tasks have only increased throughout her career with more apprentices and new rules that made a ton of work for data entry as well as keeping track of important DOL information. Dee took care of the financials and made sure all of our application processes went without a hitch. Trust me when I say that her job was as hard as it gets.

With that being said, we want to wish her a happy retirement with sincere appreciation for her dedication, loyalty and over 27 years of excellent service to the JATC.

Dee, as you move into the next amazing chapter of your life, know that you will be missed, know that our very best wishes and thoughts go with you, and know that the JATC will never forget your professional expertise, mentorship, and kindness to the Membership. Always remember, “Retirement is when you stop living at work and begin working at Living”!!

Dee Crutchfield will retire on March 29, 2024. I would like to invite everyone to come down to the hall to wish her a Happy Retirement. We will have refreshments and reminisce about all the good times she had here. Please show her how much you care about the work she did here by coming down and wishing her well. Dee has been a part of Lake County JATC history, and she has been in this office longer than any Training Director or Business Manager. Show her your appreciation by coming down to the JATC March 29, 2024, between 7:00-4:00PM.
